ON A COLD DAY!

Blogging from a very, very cold village in the Welsh Valleys!!!
As today was so cold- too cold to leave the comfort of my warm house, I thought I might go search out a few more  pages that I have not ( well I don't think I have) up loaded to my blog.

I really like this one although the colours are not very good on here. I have built up a lot of banners, by layering.

This layout is using Glitz Design papers. I cut out, tore, layered, inked, distressed and even did a bit on the ribbler. Adding a button or 2 and a ticket to finish off.

I used some scrap paper from a kit I found. This layout is for a Chinese Whispers I have joined.

This layout is full of depth and texture, almost everything is raised with 3D pads.

For the last layout of the day I have cut into the banners without removing them from the page and lifted then with 3D pads. I have layered up a border along the bottom using corrugated cardboard, ribbons, lace and strings of pearls to create a vintage feel to the layout.
Thank you for calling by today see you soon.

A FEW LAYOUTS I FOUND......

These are a few layouts I found that have not been put to into an album I thought I might share with you. They may well have been up loaded to my blog before....... if so I am sorry!
The quality of the photos is shocking- blame the good old British weather for that.

For this layout I used Authentique papers. I cut out groups of flowers and layered them up with 3D pads to created height and dimension. I draw a think black line around the edges of the flowers to accent them.

The paper for this is Glitz Design. I used a lot of dies and punches for this layout- Tim Holtz Tattered Florals, Martha Stewart lattice heart punch. and EK success journal tag punch.

This is using Webster Pages, spritzing, stamping and lots of cutting out and layering up.

The 2 above uses Pebbles. I have stitched on the layout with a sewing machine, used doilies, buttons and punches.

                                           This is another Authentique layout.

This layout is a lot of cutting out and layering papers are from MME.

A bit a of cute  Christmas layout. I have used the Gingerbread men Cart on the cricut and the vintage Doily on the edge die from Tim Holtz. Again a lot of cutting out, layering and tucking under.

Just a quick entry.

I have  nothing to share with you but, that does not mean I have not been beavering away with pretty papers and glitter!
I have completed a number of projects for various classes which I will share with you very soon.
I plan to get the camera out and get some shots of them this weekend weather of course permitting!
I do have a little something I made recently. The projected is based upon an idea from Fiona Griffith- thank you Fi.
It is a memory box constructed from 2 deep frame box canvases. The inside holds a little wallet with pockets and a mini album.
I have used Prima papers for the project.

The front cover was painted and stamped. Pattern papers were then arranged on top.

The inside view- The left door houses the pockets and the right the mini album.

Thanks for calling by. Come back soon for the promised project peeps!

SCRAPSTARS 2013

Ramada Leeds Parkway

How lucky am I to be invited to teach at Scrapstars  I am so excited to be joining the very talent Emma Trout and Louise Collins.
I have previously attended Scrapstars retreats as a delegate and had a ball.
Caroline Lovett the lady behind Scrapstars is just great she works very hard to get things just right for her delegates and it will be a pleasure to work along side her.
The venue for the retreat is the Ramada Parkway Leeds the building is really lovely. The crop room is large and the classrooms have a good natural light and airy.
I wish Caroline good luck for the event!

Handbags and glad rags!

I really have great difficulty posting from my I pad with the blogger app, it puts the images in places I don't want them!
Anyways, below or wherever Blogger has put the image is a class I taught over at www.psperarts.co.uk last Wednesday. I used papers that were quite leery, with handbags and leaves quite a bizarre mix really. I am pleased with the end result and my ladies were happy with what they produced.
The photos are of course of my girl, the occasion is the first year anniversary of going out with her boyfriend that was 8 years ago now. They are getting married next year so more photo to scrap!
Thanks for calling by- till the next time.
