I forgot to add the sneaky peek for my class over at The Stamp Attic on 14 th August.
The class is a 2 hour class and you can stay all day to play and with a shop full of goodies just across the arcade what more could you want. If you would like to join me the give Wendy a ring on 01235760821 ...... Hope to see you there!
Well it seems summer came and went in my neck of the woods!
It has been a very busy few months for me. I have been here there and everywhere teaching, my girlie got married to the love of her life and before I knew it the year has more than halfway gone!
I have a few layouts to share with you.
This layout was done using lily bee papers- love the spicy colours.
On this layout I have used Graphic 45. I used sequin was as a mask and inked through with Distress ink. The sploges were created with distress stain... Really love the effect. The coffee cup stain was created by placing a circle template down and then ink around the edge with distress stain.
This was created by making lots of chevrons and layering them down the page in rows. I heavily distressed the edges of each chevron and added a button to each point.
On this layout I ave used a splog away mask with acrylic paint and then over stamped the image with a script stamp.
Blogging from a very, very cold village in the Welsh Valleys!!! As today was so cold- too cold to leave the comfort of my warm house, I thought I might go search out a few more pages that I have not ( well I don't think I have) up loaded to my blog.
I really like this one although the colours are not very good on here. I have built up a lot of banners, by layering.
This layout is using Glitz Design papers. I cut out, tore, layered, inked, distressed and even did a bit on the ribbler. Adding a button or 2 and a ticket to finish off.
I used some scrap paper from a kit I found. This layout is for a Chinese Whispers I have joined.
This layout is full of depth and texture, almost everything is raised with 3D pads.
For the last layout of the day I have cut into the banners without removing them from the page and lifted then with 3D pads. I have layered up a border along the bottom using corrugated cardboard, ribbons, lace and strings of pearls to create a vintage feel to the layout. Thank you for calling by today see you soon.
These are a few layouts I found that have not been put to into an album I thought I might share with you. They may well have been up loaded to my blog before....... if so I am sorry!
The quality of the photos is shocking- blame the good old British weather for that.
For this layout I used Authentique papers. I cut out groups of flowers and layered them up with 3D pads to created height and dimension. I draw a think black line around the edges of the flowers to accent them.
The paper for this is Glitz Design. I used a lot of dies and punches for this layout- Tim Holtz Tattered Florals, Martha Stewart lattice heart punch. and EK success journal tag punch.
This is using Webster Pages, spritzing, stamping and lots of cutting out and layering up.
The 2 above uses Pebbles. I have stitched on the layout with a sewing machine, used doilies, buttons and punches.
This is another Authentique layout.
This layout is a lot of cutting out and layering papers are from MME.
A bit a of cute Christmas layout. I have used the Gingerbread men Cart on the cricut and the vintage Doily on the edge die from Tim Holtz. Again a lot of cutting out, layering and tucking under.
I have nothing to share with you but, that does not mean I have not been beavering away with pretty papers and glitter!
I have completed a number of projects for various classes which I will share with you very soon.
I plan to get the camera out and get some shots of them this weekend weather of course permitting!
I do have a little something I made recently. The projected is based upon an idea from Fiona Griffith- thank you Fi.
It is a memory box constructed from 2 deep frame box canvases. The inside holds a little wallet with pockets and a mini album.
I have used Prima papers for the project.
The front cover was painted and stamped. Pattern papers were then arranged on top.
The inside view- The left door houses the pockets and the right the mini album.
Thanks for calling by. Come back soon for the promised project peeps!
This is a little peep at the class over at paper arts next Wednesday 21 st November. If You would like to join in the fun go book your place at www.paperarts.co.uk
You will need 2 photos 1 @ 3x3 and the other @ 3 x 21/2 portrait.
The peep it not a very good photo due to the fact I always remember to take the photo when daylight is not at its optimum!
Hope to see you there!
I have been married to a very tolerant man for 29 years. We have one beautiful daughter, Nadia, she is the reason for my passion for scrapbooking. She has now moved out of the family home ... but just next door! Nadia will be getting married in 2013 - more photos to scrap! I am the proud carer of (currently) 3 cats ... their carer, because you can never own a cat (in fact they own you!)
I teach freelance for a number of crops, retreats and craft shops, and also run my own monthly crop and mini-retreat in Wales.
I started paper crafting over 10 years ago. I began with card making, that didn't last long before I discovered scrapbooking and have been hooked ever since! I love making embellishments for my projects, because it's more creative than buying mass-produced ones, resulting in more satisfying and distinctive layouts. I especially enjoy creating flowers with dies and punches. I confess to having a passion for punches and have far, far too many! I like to ink and distress my pages, adding depth and dimension. I love texture and layering to create dimensional layouts.
I'm a bit of a stash hoarder and really do need to have a massive craft room cull - but not today
